Terrified, watching the horror film, in the television at his friend’s place, Appu insists to be taken back to his house on the other side of the forest. Boy’s friend Sharafu narrates a mythical story about the “Bamboo Lady”, on their way through the forest, in the pitch dark where their presence is felt only by the torch light. That horror story, beautifully entangled in the pure and divine love story of a grand mother to her grandchild, is slowly revealed in an unreal and frightening fashion. At the end of the story, boy reaches his house. But what happens next is the climax that takes the viewer to an utter shock and fearfulness.
